Recently, a friend of mine happened to be caught up in dilemma. All his values were under threat and so he came to me for guidance. He opened up quite soon because I am a trusted man especially with people's info.
Abortion
He told me that his girlfriend was pregnant and that she was considering an abortion which he did not want. (He is a staunch catholic). On the other hand, he is not well off and is not ready for the responsibility of fatherhood, later on, his parents do not tolerate such 'nonsense'. They would literary disown him immediately if they knew of his situation.
Like a expert counselor, I did not make decisions for him, instead, we looked at all potential sides of the equation and I left it to him. He agreed for the awful act to proceed, he later told me.
Abortion is one of today's most controversial issues. It is polarizing many communities; it has split even religious denominations! It has become a hot political issue in many countries where it is used to manipulate the reins of power. Does the belief of human stem cell research ring a bell? Though it is causing much stir in our societies, the concern over abortion is not new. The truth is that the abortion issue is as old as time. The fact of abortion is as old as man.
I came to perceive that abortion is not dinky to the termination of a fetus in a mother's womb. Abortion means to discontinue life before its full potential has or can be realized, before the man is given an occasion to fulfill his or her full potential. Abortion is the greatest tragedy. It robs life of its essence and denies the hereafter its value.
Abortion is the ignorance of responsibility and the denial of obligation. It is self relieve at the cost of fruitfulness, because all abortions cut responsibility.
This reminds me of a very unfortunate yet true thing; the whole of abortions carried out every day. You see every one of us has potential, the untapped ability. Each one comes to the world pregnant with Unlimited potential and is thus capable of much more than he or she has already done.
Unless during the procedure of your life, you expose all that is in you for the good of mankind, your potential will be aborted.
The abortion of potential is the death of the hereafter and it affects generation after generation. To live below your potential is to fall short of glory.
Any abortion, whether it is the abortion of a dream, a vision, art, music, writing, business, leadership etc affects both nature and the succeeding generations of man.
Do you know that the grave yards are full of great men and women who never became great because they did not give their potential responsibility? They aborted their potential. I am genuinely convinced that the most tragedy in life is not death, but life...life that fails to fulfill its purpose and potential. It is genuinely best to have never been born than to live and never fulfill the purpose for which you were given in life. You see the grave yard is a very rich place, rich with the untapped potential of those dwelling there. Why don't you pick to rob the grave and publish all your potential?
It is a pity that man; with all his attempts to minimize the abortion of various species of plants and animals is investing billions to safe them and the ozone layer, but has neglected to prioritize the position of human beings in the scheme of things. While man fights to safe whales, owls, trees and fish, he also battles for the right to discontinue babies!

The abortion issue is not just a problem of the taking of life, though that is the fatal end result. Even more, abortion is the ignorance and the lack of insight of the principle of potential that pervades this world. The principle of potential is that one equals many, dinky equals much, small equals great, less equals more. Therefore to abort a seed is to kill a forest, to abort a cow is to kill a herd, to abort a boy is to kill a man, to abort a girl is too kill a woman and to abort a man is to destroy a nation. Yes, every great tree was once a seed, every woman a girl, every man, a boy, and every nation was once in the loins of a man.
The majority of those who die each year are guilty of abortion because they did not understand the basic relevance of the belief of p[potential in their individual lives.
Think about how many children, yet unborn were destined to sing the song you have never written?
If you abort your potential, you will be guilty of robbing the world of the treasure you came to this planet to deliver. We need the potential that you are pregnant with.
Refuse to leave this planet without giving birth to those dreams, ideas, visions and inventions you carry in the womb of your faith right now. Don't abort your baby of potential - rob the grave of the treasure you carry.
Don't let your place in the museum of earth be vacant, 'assignment unfinished. potential unreleased'. Leave the photo of your potential on the wall of history.
Please, for you to achieve your hearts desires, you must know that you have potential, put it to use by working it out and in so doing, maximise it!
